Sacred Ground: A Film-Based Dialogue Series on Race and Faith

Sacred Ground is:

  • A ten-session dialogue
  • Based on films and readings
  • Walking through America’s history of race and racism, weaving in family story, economic class, and political and regional identity
  • Designed by the Episcopal Church
  • Co-hosted by First Presbyterian and St. Timothy’s Episcopal


  • 5:30 – 7 p.m., 2nd and 4th Mondays, Aug 26 – Jan 13
  • First Presbyterian Church, 200 E Second St, Perrysburg
  • Participants must commit to attend at least 7 sessions
  • 1 to 1.5 hours of homework (readings and video) between sessions
  • Introductory session August 26 runs from 5:30 to 8:30; dinner will be provided at this session only
  • Program is free of charge. Resource books available from our local library or can be purchased used (about $25) from online book sellers.
